Everything That Has Breath
I have always liked the way this opening text reads from the Amplified Version of the Bible because it brings out the fact that it is not merely enough that all living things be able to praise our Creator, but that we must make the determination that every breath we inhale and every breath we exhale will bring praise to Him. Praise to the Creator, after all, has been delivered over to the hands of men and women – all of humanity – and it is our responsibility to God to ensure that all life is able to bring praise and honor to the very One who created all life on our planet, the King of the Universe, YHWH.
In some of my previous work I have pointed out how there is a specific design to all life on Earth , which is so detailed, so specific, and so intricate, that deviation from God’s instructions given to us in Scripture can result in major imbalances within the order of Creation. Such things that Christians have long written off as insignificant and not pertinent to their faith include commandments not to eat pork or shellfish, commandments not to cross-pollinate plants, commandments regarding the Sabbaths, and commandments not to wear wool and linen together, to name a few, if ignored, actually contribute to the destruction of God’s Creation. This despite God having entrusted us with the care and preservation of all life on His world, and that includes the ability of that life to praise Him with every breath of life.

BIBLE TEACHINGS

CHAPTER 4: The Bethany Family
In the earliest records, there were three Marys: (1) Jesus’ mother, (2) her sister who was the wife of Cleopas and, however unusual, seems to have had the same name as her sister, and (3) Mary Magdalene—also known as Mary of Bethany. Later, after Jesus’ ascension, we read of another Mary, the mother of Mark, whose family owned the “upper room” of Pentecostal fame.
Mary Magdalene has been deified by Merovingian Catholicism—that secretive faction which seeks to displace the Virgin Mary from her Roman Catholic throne. In recent years they have been led by exiled Prince Michael of Scotland, whose chief publicist, Laurence Gardner, has written a number of books to popularize him. Dan Brown’s The DaVinci Code is another man’s attempt to capitalize on this idea.
The Epistles of Paul - Romans Part 18: Government as a Punishment from God
For much of Romans chapter 12, Paul of Tarsus explained how Christians should treat one another, also exhorting his Roman Christian readers to prefer one another with diligence, meaning to discriminate in favor of one another at the expense of all others, and informing them that it is honorable to do so. Beginning that discussion, Paul made two important admonitions: that Christians not conform themselves to this world, and that Christians not think proudly, instead maintaining themselves as mere members in the much larger body of Christ, doing what they can for that body and its other members. At the same time, towards the end of chapter 12, Christians were also exhorted to leave vengeance and judgment in the hands of Yahweh their God.
Psalm 92: Hebrew Poetry of Words and Numbers
Over two thousand years ago, a Hebrew Psalmist wrote the beautiful words of Psalm 92 in honor of Yahweh and His Sabbath. The title of the psalm is a Song for the Sabbath day. Its first line tells us it is “good to give thanks unto Yahweh and to sing praises unto thy name…”.
This psalm is a song of praise, gladness, and faith in Yahweh. Beautiful, to be sure, but there is more to this psalm than meets the casual observer’s eye on first reading.
The psalmist took this psalm and organized it beyond just its words and their meaning. Hidden below the Hebrew poetic lines is a numerical structure that emphasizes the author’s theme and lifts the words into a different realm of praise and honor.
The Doctrine of Sin
The Greek word for sin is hamartia, and the word for knowledge is ology. Therefore, hamartiology is the knowledge of the doctrine of sin.[i] The scriptures speak continuously of the presence and reality of sin in the world. From Adam’s first sin through the final chapters of Revelation, God speaks of man’s sin and sinful nature.[ii] In the Old Testament, we read: “For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin” (Ecclesiastes 7:20, NKJV).[iii] Paul said, “THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE” (Romans 3:10); “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).[iv]

Paths of Old – Ancient Paths
Jeremiah 6:16; 18:15; Acts 15:21
“Thus said יהוה (Yahweh), “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and find rest for yourselves….” (Jeremiah 6:16)
“But My people have forgotten Me, they have burned incense to what is false, and they have stumbled from their ways, from the ancient paths, to walk in bypaths and not on a highway.” (Jeremiah 18:15)
Regular public reading of the Torah was introduced by Ezra the Scribe after the return of the Jewish people from their Babylonian captivity (c. 537 BCE), as described in the Book of Nehemiah 8. In the modern era, adherents of Orthodox Judaism practice Torah reading according to a set procedure they believe has remained unchanged in the two thousand years since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem (70 CE).
“For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath.” (Acts 15:21)

The Land Before Time—PART 9: Shiny Remnants
Did a planet in our solar system get destroyed and its matter strewn across space? Back here on earth, we see possible fingerprints of such an event: white, shiny fragments of metal called iridium (Ir). Part of the platinum family, iridium is plentiful in meteors and comets, but is very rare on earth, with one exception.
Most of the iridium on earth is found in the K-T boundary, a thin layer of sediment that marks the geologic point in earth’s history between the Cretaceous and Tertiary periods. Modern geology dates this period to approximately 65.5 million years ago. This is also the period when experts say the dinosaurs became extinct because of a massive asteroid strike, specifically the strike at the Chicxulub Crater off the coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.
The Land Before Time—PART 10: Science Fiction or Nonfiction?
It may seem like all of this is science fiction until one begins to look at the indication left on earth of these long-ago events. It’s easy to dismiss ancient writings such as these with a wave of one’s hand in the absence of other confirmation, but once evidence is presented to back the concept of ancient nuclear activity, it becomes harder to ignore.
The mysterious necklace found in King Tut’s tomb baffled Italian mineralogist Vincenzo de Michele in 1966. He had it tested, presumably expecting it to be some sort of mineral or stone. Instead, it was glass derived from an enigmatic source.
The Land Before Time—PART 11: Angels in Rebellion
Based upon his extensive research, the late David Flynn pointed out the following:
In the rabbinical text called the Genesis Rabbah 3:7, prior to creating this world, God created other worlds and then destroyed them. The Kabbalists teach that there were seven such creations prior to our own. These seven worlds are referred to as the realms of chaos, olam hatohu, or the world of Tohu. The secrets regarding these seven worlds are hidden in the Torah within the genealogy of the family of Esau in Genesis 36:31–39. It speaks of the “kings who reigned in the land of Edom, before there was a king in Israel.” These Edomite kings are an esoteric reference to those primordial worlds of old. It is said that these earlier creations did not properly receive the influx of God’s divine light. Each world is said to have been a vessel that needed to be filled with God’s light in order to exist. The seven worlds or vessels were not strong enough to receive God’s light and when his light did shine into them the vessels shattered and were destroyed.
The Land Before Time—PART 12: Historical Evidence
Researcher Gill Broussard believes the primary sphere in the mini constellation to be seven times the size of the earth. Not believing it to be a Brown Dwarf, he has dubbed it Planet 7x for its sheer size, says that it is a massive planet dragging its own “mini constellation” with it, and ties it directly to various biblical catastrophes. In doing so, he believes the Sumerian 3,600-year timetable to be much too long. However, it would seem that many people are coming to similar conclusions regardless of the sources of their evidence.
The Kolbrin Bible is an example of one such source. It is not actually a Bible, but a collection of ancient texts supposedly hidden and preserved for nearly one thousand years by various secretive groups. Its discovery is believed to have occurred when it was salvaged from the Glastonbury Abbey arson in 1184. Within the text, we find several accounts of Gabriel’s Fist, to which the texts refer as “The Destroyer.”
Many researchers believe the anthology is a secular accounting reaching at least 3,600 years into antiquity.
The Land Before Time—PART 13: Science vs. Reality
An exhaustive study of Native American DNA from Siberians, Canadians and some natives from the tip of South America was conducted in 2012. Admittedly, the sample was relatively small, 750, and excluded representation of First Nations from the United States due to cost constraints and lack of natives’ participation. Still, it was one of the first studies of its kind in which archaeologists, linguists, paleoanthropologists, and geneticists were brought together to ascertain the origin of natives. Using cutting-edge technology, they made some interesting findings:
Ripan Malhi, an anthropologist at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, wrote in an e-mail that the new data added [sic] nuance to a consensus view that had emerged that there was a single source population that gave rise to Native Americans. The team’s explanation that there were multiple waves of migration that interbred with the earlier groups in parts of North America helps explain the overall similarity of DNA among all Native Americans as well as some unaccounted for differences in groups from North America, he wrote [i]
The Land Before Time—PART 14: Remnants Before America
Thus far, near North American history has been discussed with regard to mounds. There has also been a discussion about Indian legends that speak of ancient portals being used by gods to traverse between two worlds. However, is there any physical evidence that ancient, pre-Adamic activity occurred on this continent?
Coming up with an answer to this is difficult. If one is not convinced that advanced intelligence was needed to construct the huge mounds all over the United States, one might expect that no evidence existed.
If you were of that mindset, you would be wrong. A few examples of such technology are:
Waffle Rock: A small town in West Virginia in 1930 was slated for permanent evacuation and relocation because the government decided to put in a dam. In the course of the excavations, a huge boulder with a strange, waffle-like pattern on it was discovered.
The Land Before Time—PART 15: An Angelic Missing Link
To pick up a thread from earlier in this series and unravel a mystery, a discussion on DNA is required. If you will recall, the “land bridge” was briefly mentioned in the context of the migration of humans to North America.
The theory is simply that people who migrated from Siberia to Alaska crossed a land bridge that spanned the current-day Bering Strait. This bridge is speculated to have remained in place for thousands of years, and is, according to geneticists and anthropologists, responsible for Native Americans finding their way to the Americas. However, there is a huge problem with this idea, as an article on The Conversation website points out:
But genetic evidence shows there is no direct ancestral link between the people of ancient East Asia and modern Native Americans. A comparison of DNA from 600 modern Native Americans with ancient DNA recovered from a late Stone Age human skeleton from Mal’ta near Lake Baikal in southern Siberia shows that Native Americans diverged genetically from their Asian ancestors around 25,000 years ago, just as the last ice age was reaching its peak.
The Land Before Time—PART 16: De–CERN–ing the Times
In the last entry, we spoke about how stargates exist on native lands all across North America. After careful analysis, these pages have brought us to a place of understanding the validity of the idea that the early North American Indians, like many other indigenous people across the world, saw portals open from time to time. In fact, the sightings were so common that they were memorialized in countless petroglyphs of spirals that can be found across the landscape. Therefore, the question remains: Do modern-day “stargates” built by twenty-first-century man exist?
This is where the scientific organization CERN comes in. CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire—European Council for Nuclear Research) is an acronym for a now-defunct French scientific committee. The original group disbanded in 1956, just two years after its founding. The organization was folded into its current structure under a much broader coalition of countries. Why keep the name at all? The committee had yet to complete any construction, conduct any experiments, or publish any scientific papers. Tom Horn offers some interesting insight regarding one of the founding members, the renowned German Nobel Laureate physicist, Werner Karl Heisenberg, who reportedly insisted that the original acronym, CERN, remain as the moniker…

Did the Apostle Peter Believe in the Imminence of Christ’s Return?
This week I’d like to look at the controversial question of Christ’s “imminent” return for the church, but from a different angle than most of you might have approached the subject before.
Today many of my peers believe that this event could have taken place at any point after the death and resurrection of Yeshua and that there is no “prophesied event” that needs to take place before this “rapture” of believers transpires. Here is how two of today’s highly respected evangelical prophecy teachers see the subject:
A foundational aspect of the rapture, as taught in Scripture, is that it is imminent. By imminent we mean it could happen at any moment, and there is no prophesied event that has to take place first before the rapture can occur. It is the next event on the calendar. (Ed Hindson & Hitchcock, Can We Still Believe in the Rapture? (p. 123). Harvest House Publishers. Kindle Edition.)
Is Mr. Hindson & Mr. Hitchcock’s perspective on the subject accurate? To be fair, it’s a perspective shared by many respected expositors of the Bible.
Who was Sir Robert Anderson’s “Artaxerxes”?
To this day one of the most important, yet least understood aspects of Bible prophecy is the history of Ezra, Nehemiah and their contemporary, the great Persian king “Artaxerxes”. Even less understood is how this history has shaped our understanding of Daniel 9, the prophecy of 70 Weeks, and our future eschatological expectations.
In the past few blog posts we have looked at three Persian decrees to “restore and build Jerusalem”. This week we will focus in on the forth and final Persian decree which scholars have long held as the decree “to restore and build Jerusalem”. This decree supposedly given by Artaxerxes Longimanus was popularized by the great Biblical scholar Sir Robert Anderson.
But what evidence did Anderson use to justify his position regarding Artaxerxes and the prophecy of 70 Weeks? Today we will answer these questions and frankly I think the answers may surprise so of you.
“Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words [dabar] that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.” (Nehemiah 2:18)
