DG Blog Carousel Module Settings

In the below image, you will see the DG Blog Carousel Module Settings screenshot to show you what the settings have been set to. As you can see, I have the Blog Posts Count set to 12. So, I am thinking it should only display 12 of the most recent posts in this carousel based on Post by type set to Recent Posts.

DG Blog Carousel Module in Divi Visual Builder

In the below image, you will see the DG Blog Carousel Module screenshot showing you what it looks like before going live. You will notice that there are only 12 dots indicating there should only be 12 posts based on the above settings to be displayed in this carousel when it goes live. Please take notice of the over all height of these posts and the extra space you see while in the Divi Visual Builder. The extra space varies under the Read More button based on the number of lines the title takes up.

DG Blog Carousel Module on Live Website

As you can see when the website goes live, you will see more than 12 dots. Unless I am not doing something correctly, this module should not be displaying no more than the 12 Recent Posts. So, there should only be 12 dots.

As you view the live carsouel, you will see as noted above way more than the 12 dots. Plus, you will see the area from the Read More button is greater. It was not this way while in the Divi Visual Builder. This is something you may want to look into. It would be nice to be able to control the extra space below the Read More button. I have not found if this is possible at this point.

DG Blog Carousel Module From My Home Page

In the below image, you will see a screenshot of the DG Blog Carousel Module from my Home page (https://truenews4u.com). The reason you are seeing multiple instances of this module on my Home page is because I have found that if I change the settings to use Categories the height of the carousel looks good and as you can see there are only 12 dots. By do this, when you go back to my Home page, you will only see 12 dots and the height of the post is all the same. The extra space below the Read More button varies based on the number of lines the title of the post takes up. What I am seeing works for me but the extra space you see in the above example does not work for me.

So, it appears something is not quite right when trying to use Post by type using Recent Posts. Plus, when using Recent Posts and you have it set to only display 12 posts, there should only be 12 dots and not all that you are seeing in the above example.

Again, the reason I am using multiple instances of the DG Blog Module and the DG Blog Carousel Module is all based on me having to use Categories and not Recent Posts to get it to look correct.

DG Blog Module in Divi Visual Builder

In the below image, which I took while I was in the Divi Visual Builder, you will see a screenshot of what I thought I should see when I publish this example webpage.

It is only showing 4 of the most recent posts like I want it to. It has the << Older Entries button on the left side and it has the Next Entries >> button on the right side.

DG Blog Module in Live website Mode

Below, you will see that there are not 4 posts showing but a total of 174 posts showing represented by the dots.

When you scroll to the end of all these 174 posts, you will see the << Older Entries button.

In your reply to the ticket I started on this inquiry, you said:

However, we have noticed that you have implemented the Divi Blog Module multiple times on the page. Some instances display 4 posts in a single row, while others showcase 6 posts in a double row. This indicates that the “Blog Post Count” functionality is indeed functioning as expected.

As I am still in the process of figuring out how to use the DG Blog Module, I found out that if I configure this module using Categories, it appears to work correctly.

So, the DG Blog Module is working the same way as the DG Blog Carousel Module in that if the Posts by type is set to Recent Posts, they both will display more than the Blog Post Count setting that it was set to.

On my live website (https://truenews4u.com), you will see 3 instances of this Blog Module there. All of them are configured based on Categories I use. This is the only way I have found to get this module to look the way I want it to and for it not to display all 174 posts like this module and the carousel module do when using Recent Posts.

Bottom Line: I believe someone needs to look into this matter to find out why this is happening when Recent Posts has been selected and the Blog Post Count setting is set to whatever number of posts are to be displayed is not working.

DG Blog Module Using Categories

Below, you will see that I have changed the settings to display the posts based on 2 Categories (BE Informed and Tribunals). You will see that I have the Blog Posts Count set to 4 posts just like I have in the above example. I have not changed it.

The image below this one shows a screenshot of what it looks like in the Divi Visual Builder.

Below, you will see the results of the above settings to display the posts from 2 different categories which are (BE Informed and Tribunals).
